£30,906 – £37,087 per annum depending on experience

Our main adult and paediatric Theatre department is a busy and dynamic environment setting the benchmark for clinical excellence. We have 5 operating suites catering for: Cardiac, Orthopaedics, ENT and Ophthalmic, Plastics, General/Vascular, Urology and Gynaecology. We work with surgeons who are the best in their specialities carrying out simple to the more complex surgeries.
As our Paediatric Recovery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance and to participate in the assessment of paediatric patient care needs, as well as providing support to the family.
We’re looking for you to:
Be a Child registered Nurse
Experience working within Recovery, however those with experience in PICU may also be considered
Ability to work in a pressurised environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistently ensure high standards of care for patients and their families by co-ordinating department and staff activities, in the delivery and leadership within a surgical setting at all times being accountable for nursing outcomes
Within a system of case management, co-ordinate and monitor the progress of patient care and report any variance appropriately.
Manage nursing care and assist with additional management requirements according to planned off duty rota/on call
Contribute to the effective management of the department by providing training to the junior members of the team, assisting senior nursing staff in the forward planning of absences, participating in effective use of temporary staff.
