A role which focuses on ensuring the provision of high quality evidence-based nursing care in a clinical setting, the Staff Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the care they deliver.
The post holder is required to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and should always:

Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the patient journey whilst demonstrating a culture of customer service.
Manage care of allocated patients.
Demonstrate professional awareness and accountability.
Maintain requirements to ensure success in the Revalidation process.
Act as a Link Nurse in a designated area reporting to and from meetings / training updates.
Recognise the needs for DOL’s assessments, mental capacity assessment and ‘simple’ and ‘complex’ safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns
Liaise with the Support Services to ensure all non-clinical needs are met including the cultural, sexual, religious, and any other special needs of the patients.
Have a working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest and fire.
Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
Undertake clinical duties in any area that is reasonably requested ensuring that you practice within your professional competencies and abilities
• Relate to the Sister /Charge Nurse / Lead Nurse in regard to professional issues
